Sensing Local is a social enterprise with a focus on solving civic and environmental issues across Indian cities for 10 years, working at the intersection of urban planning and governance. Over the last few years, we have embraced technology to advance our mission to democratise urban planning and make it cheaper, faster, and more accessible, supporting governments and citizens seeking to help solve our complex societal issues. We are building products that help collect hyperlocal data of city infrastructure that truly captures our lived experience, enabling citizens as end users to co-create solutions and bring radical transparency in decision-making

JOB PROFILE

​

  1. Experience range: 0 to 2 years

  2. Duration: Full-time, in-person position

  3. Remuneration: 8 - 9 LPA

  4. Starting date: At the earliest

  5. Job location: Bengaluru

  6. Important consideration: You will be the only engineer working on the full-stack, working in sync with our tech mentor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES & SKILLS

​

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields

  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, and testing

  • Preparing the server-side logic of a web application, developing the application's back-end components, and linking it with other web services.

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience coding in Python development and frameworks such as Flask, Django, etc

  • Should be good at prompt engineering

  • Experience working with SQL technologies such as PostgreSQL

  • Experience in REACT or any other web UI technologies

  • Development experience with AWS is good to have

  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code with one or more programming languages

  • Overall Experience in Software Development Life Cycle

  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (cloud computing, Artificial intelligence, and machine learning, etc.)

  • You must also have good communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively with other disciplines.
